Within half an hour, I received a phone call saying someone would be round in 20 mins to assess the damage. On leaving, I was told to check my e-mails that evening/next morning for the quote. I checked my mail about two hours later , the quote was there and very reasonable, so I accepted it and asked how quickly the job could be done, and was told today, Friday. Sure enough at 0815, they turned up and started work, and were finished by 1300. What a professional job, done by 2 friendly guys (never know tradesmen to turn down tea/coffee before).
